$20,000 Scholarship & $2,000 Stipend for you…

Emory & Henry Honors Scholarship: $20,000

Every incoming Honors Program Scholar receives a $20,000 scholarship each year that they remain in the program. This is the highest merit scholarship awarded to incoming students and scholarship selection is determined by academic achievements and an interview process held on Audition & Scholarship Day. In order to qualify for the Honors Program Scholarship, applicants must apply by no later than February 15, 2015 and must interview on one of our Scholarship Days—December 6, 2014 or February 28, 2015.  For more information, please contact Hai Yan Chen (hchen@ehc.edu, 276.944.6266), Assistant Director of the Honors Program.

$2000 Personal Academic Stipend

Additionally, Scholars are also guaranteed to receive at least $2000 from our Personal Academic Stipend Fund to spend on academic resources.  In just the last couple of years, the Personal Academic Stipends fund has paid for plane tickets to four continents (and Iceland), a laptop computer, genetic agents for a biology honors thesis, intensive summer study of Arabic, and a National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) course in the Amazon. Scholars may also apply for additional funds outside of what they receive from the Honors Program to help pay for study abroad, research-related travel, conference attendance, computer or scientific equipment, and summer internships or language programs.
